What is GreatLakesXJ.com?
Great Lakes XJ Jeep Club; or better known as GLXJ, is a Jeep only, family-oriented, wheeling club built around the Jeep Cherokee XJ and Jeep Comanche MJ vehicles. GLXJ was founded in January 2005 by a group of Jeep enthusiasts who love the sport of off-road driving and testing their Jeeps’ potential on the trail and doing so in a family-friendly environment. GLXJ serves members from the states of Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsion. GLXJ has no minimum or maximum tire size requirements. Build’em or not, GLXJ’s goal is to wheel, respect nature and the environment, and work with the wheeling community for public land access and promotion of the responsible wheeler. Above all else, GLXJ is interested in bringing quality members together to enjoy the sport of off-roading in a family-friendly environment. We are an extended family with deep-rooted friendships and a sense of camaraderie.

It is our goal to:
-Provide and promote LEGAL off-road opportunities for all skill level 4X4 enthusiasts.
-Lead by EXAMPLE to those new to the sport and encourage others to participate in our off-road adventures.
-Educate and promote SAFE techniques to our fellow Jeepers.
-Provide a FAMILY-FRIENDLY environment for guests of all ages.
-Show property/landowners that we have RESPECT for their land and assure them that we are intolerant of those who choose to litter and damage property.
-Promise to remove all trash we find REGARDLESS of who left it.
-Help ALL participants return home safely.
